The creature was found “cold and shivering” by Christina Eyth near her home in Adams County. It was then taken in by local animal shelter Wildlife Works, however experts were unable to determine its species. They believe it must be either a dog or coyote. The shelter said it was “stunned and mortified” to learn of the animal’s dramatic escape about a week after the rescue. In a Facebook post on Thursday, which can be found here, the wildlife shelter said that they were “devastated” to find the animal gone....

Police found the body of the man on the sidewalk of a West Oak Lane street in Philadelphia shortly after midnight on Thursday. According to the media outlet 6abc, police were called to the 7100 block of 19th Street where they found the victim and his sneakers and hat nearby. Detectives are exploring whether the murder could be connected to a car found abandoned nearby which they say was stolen during a home invasion robbery, reported 6abc....

Researchers led by Caltech’s Hannah Earnshaw noticed a green blob in observations returned by NuSTAR—a mission where one of the objectives is to study supernova. These stellar explosions produce so much light they can, at points, outshine galaxies. The satellite image, which shows the ‘Fireworks galaxy’ NGC 6946, normally shows supernova as green and blue spots, with one currently appearing in the top right of the image provided. This image, however, also showed something else....

Human skeletal remains were found at a rural scrapyard three years ago next to a pair of distinctive leather cowboy boots. The remains were found alongside a pair of brown cowboy boots at the scrapyard in St. Osyth, in Essex County in eastern England, on April 25, 2019. Police announced Wednesday they established the skeleton belonged to William “Bill” Long, and they are treating his death as a murder....

Nearly three decades ago, veteran Nautile submersible pilot and Titanic diver PH Nargeolet observed a mysterious object showing up on sonar near the famed shipwreck, at a depth of 9,514 feet. Scientists believed it could be a geological feature or even another shipwreck. Years later, the diver has now explored the area, on an expedition conducted by OceanGate Expeditions, and found a volcanic formation teeming with life.
