The departure hasn’t silenced the critics. More than 60 Labour M.P.s, backed by a clutch of national newspapers, are calling for the dome’s early closure to avoid further bail-outs. And with an election expected next year, the Conservative opposition is relishing the chance to bash the ministers who originally backed the dome. Just one problem for the Tories: the project was sanctioned under the last–Conservative–government.
