The video was posted by her daughter April Watson, @aprilwatson51, who says, “So my mam wanted her hair like this, and this is how it went.”

The video flits from images of heavily styled curly-haired women to her mother sitting on a sofa examining her own hair, which is bright blonde and not so natural looking.

TikToker Michael commented, “What in the super noodles happened!” while youreastonefox wrote, “I bet she sat there and told the stylist she loved it,” to which Watson replied, “She did!”

The mom can then be seen pulling out the extensions. “Omg is she fuming?” wrote TikToker Terri. “Yeah,” replied Watson, “It was out within 5 minutes.”

A 2021 OnePoll survey of 2,000 American men found that 45 percent had had a bad haircut over the past year and 57 percent hated it so much, they shaved it all off.

A bad haircut can hugely affect our confidence, and it is after all, our hair, but why do we have such trouble telling our hair stylist that we hate their work?

Speaking to Good Housekeeping magazine, Sarah Merrie, director of education at Hairroin Salon in New York and Los Angeles, said: “Some stylists will have their own vision for you based on your face shape, skin tone, hair texture. But if you aren’t comfortable with the direction they’re leading you in, speak up.”

Merrie said that it is absolutely right to tell your stylist if you don’t like your hair after and appointment, just employ honesty and a bit of tact.

“If you encounter a stubborn stylist who refuses to work with you, speak to a manager right away,” she said.

“Management in a reputable salon will want to know if their stylists are not respecting their clients’ concerns and will do whatever they can to ensure they uphold a reputation for excellent customer service.”

It’s important to be honest and clear from the beginning, and effectively communicate exactly what you want. If you’re not sure how to describe exactly what you want, Merrie advises bringing in lots of inspiration photos to help communicate what you want.

TikToker Angel wrote, “It’s giving me ramen noodle vibes,” while Danyagray.photography commented, “omg same thing happened to me I cut it out not even 24 hours later such a waste of £180 ($200).”

Salama wrote: “The stylist should have told her it was the wrong hair. The installation doesn’t look bad but they could have added less hair.”
