Before we went to Hank and Shauna’s we went to the EMP, the Experience Music Project. The actual architecture on the outside is really unforgettable. Half of it is like a brushed steel bubble, and when you go inside, you see lots of totally bent three-ton iron beams. Awesome! Of course, it costs 20 bucks for an adult to get in, so (as cheap as we are) we just shopped around the gift shop. They had sound stages where you could record your own CD with guitars, drums, basses, and microphones. But if you are into the hippy thing, you must see Janis Joplin’s very own bell bottoms. Personally, I’d rather just go to the Rock ‘N Roll Hall of Fame for the music history and memorabilia, but for architecture and gift shop browsing, I really recommend this place. Plus, it’s right next to the Space Needle.
