Michelle Obama tweeted on Monday that Davis – who took the sporting world by storm with her performance in the 2014 Little League World Series – was the recipient of the award given to mimic the magazine’s “Sportsman of the Year” prize for youths.
Davis adds the award to her already impressive resume that includes having her jersey put in the National Baseball Hall of Fame, being in a commercial directed by Spike Lee, being approached by UConn for basketball and appearing on SI’s cover in August.
