Cleveland and the Los Angeles Dodgers have become the favorites to win the World Series. Their combined win probability based on odds from Westgate is close to 60 percent. However, Accuscore’s simulations are not completely agreeing with those numbers. Based on Accuscore, the Houston Astros will continue pounding opponents in the postseason and are the projected World Series winners. There is also some value for the Washington Nationals’ run for a title when Accuscore and Westgate numbers are compared.

The New York Yankees could be the dark horse in the ALDS, if they perform as predicted against Minnesota in Tuesday’s wild-card game (UPDATE: They did). The series between Cleveland and New York could be evenly matched, and there is a good chance for a Yankee surprise. In the other Division Series, it is expected that Washington, Houston and Los Angeles will proceed to the LCS without Game 5s.
