It’s the second pick of the draft for the Astros, who took LSU shortstop Alex Bregman with the No. 2 overall choice (which was compensation for not signing last year’s No. 1 overall pick, Brady Aiken).

Clearly, Houston believes in good bloodlines; Tucker’s brother, Preston, is a rookie with the Astros this year. Preston Tucker is batting .263 with a .767 OPS in his first 25 big-league games. 

It’s easy to say now, of course, but Kyle Tucker is generally considered the better prospect.
