Keith Joseph Jr., who was known as MJ, and his father were killed Friday in a single-car accident. The two were on the way to see MJ’s high school team, Pascagoula (Miss.) High School, play when the accident occurred.

The younger Joseph was a freshmen defensive end at Mississippi State. He took a redshirt for the 2015 season. His father also played for the Bulldogs, a linebacker from 1989 to 1992, and ranks 10th in career sacks.
The Bulldogs face Alabama on Saturday at home.
