The Akron RubberDucks have announced they will hold a “Brian Williams’ Pants-on-Fire Night” on National Tell a Story Day. The popular NBC journalist was suspended recently for fabricating a story involving his days covering the Iraq war.

The team’s schedule was supposed to be announced next week, but with the Williams’ controversy taking center stage now was the perfect time.

“Monday, April 27 is national ‘Tell a Story Day’ and we could not think of a better storyteller” RubberDucks general manager Jim Pfander said. “We thought this would be a fun, tongue-in-cheek night for our fans.”
