Mychelle Johnson took to Instagram on Thursday night to say she was recovering from “a fracture[d] nose, wrist, torn eardrum, torn muscles in my neck from being choked until i went to sleep and a severe concussion.”

She also uploaded a video clip of a young boy saying “Daddy choked Mommy” to an unidentified woman who does not appear on camera. Other news outlets have described the child as her son. Newsweek has not been able to independently verify this.

She also shared several photographs showing cuts and bruises across her face and body, and a document that appears to be a medical discharge form stating a diagnosis of “adult victim of physical abuse by male partner.”

Johnson, who has two young children with Charlotte Hornets forward Bridges, did not name her partner in the lengthy caption accompanying her images. But she wrote: “I hate that it has come to this but I can’t be silent anymore. I’ve allowed someone to destroy my home, abuse me in every way possible and traumatize our kids for life.”

The purported medical record shared by Johnson states under “diagnosis” that the patient suffered: “Assault by strangulation, brain concussion, closed fracture of nasal bone, contusion of rib, multiple bruises, strain of neck muscle.”

The page of the document she shared does not contain names or dates, but her name and Tuesday’s date are visible on the bottom of a preceding sheet of paper. Johnson concluded her Instagram post by saying: “I don’t need sympathy, I just don’t want this happening to anyone else, I just want this person to get help, my kids deserve better. That’s all i want. It hurts, everything hurts, this situation hurts, most importantly I’m scared and hurting for my kids who were witness to everything.”

Bridges, 24, was arrested in Los Angeles, California, on Wednesday and booked on a felony domestic violence warrant, according to ESPN, which cited the Los Angeles Police Department. He was released later that day on $130,000 bail, police confirmed to ESPN. Police did not release details of charges.

The identity of an alleged victim was not revealed by police, but Johnson now appears to be naming herself.

Newsweek has reached out to both Johnson and representatives for Bridges, who has not commented on either his arrest or the allegations by the mother of his children. Newsweek has also contacted the Los Angeles Police Department.

Johnson and Bridges reportedly began dating around 2016. The couple have two children together. Bridges was the Hornets’ leading scorer last season and his arrest came shortly before he was set to become a restricted free agent.

The Hornets released a statement saying: “The Charlotte Hornets are aware of the situation involving Miles Bridges. We are in the process of gathering additional information. We will have no further comment at this time.”
