If the Montana University System challenges the legality of HB 102, the open-carry bill that Governor Greg Gianforte signed into law in February, the estimated $1 million set aside for the university system within the budget bill would be void, according to The Great Falls Tribune. The open-carry law sought to revise gun legislation throughout the state and specified the ways in which the law was to remain in effect on public university campuses....

State Rep. Rodney Garcia, from House District 52 on the South Side, made the statement during a GOP event in Helena on Friday, which served to prepare members and candidates for the upcoming election season. Officials and organizations are warning against scammers who are exploiting people’s personal information for fake COVID tests. The non-profit scam tracker and consumer watchdog group Better Business Bureau (BBB) has reported a number of fake COVID testing sites in different parts of the country. Dan Parsons, president of BBB Metropolitan Houston & South Texas, warned of red flags that could pop up including if a site is asking people to provide a lot of personal information or asking for payment for the test....

Radi was in jail since his arrest in July 2020 and denied any wrongdoing. Different rights groups said the charges against Radi were politically motivated, and his case raised concerns about media freedoms in Morocco. A colleague of Radi’s, Imad Stitou, was convicted of “participation in rape” and sentenced to a year in prison, with six months suspended. For more reporting from the Associated Press, see below.
